DO I HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL TO ENTER?
No. Anyone can be entered as long as they satisfy the criteria of their category.
CAN I SUBMIT SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes. You can enter your own comedy, someone else's, or both!
HOW DO I SUBMIT?
It’s super easy! All you need to do is fill out our SUBMISSION FORM, with a link to your supporting video or audio clip, then sit back and hope jurors choose you.
WHO SELECTS THE CATEGORIES?
Each awards cycle begins with the Board posting potential categories that you, the public, get to choose from. The top vote getters - the categories YOU want to see represented - make up the final list of categories. See the categories you chose for 2021 HERE.
HOW DOES JUDGING WORK?
Every submission is judged by a jury of industry professionals qualified in their respective categories, whose scores determine the final nominees. The public are then invited to vote for the nominees they find most deserving, with winners determined entirely by their votes. In the case of a tie, co-winners will be announced.
HOW DO JURIES SCORE MY SUBMISSION?
Your submission will be judged ENTIRELY on the video or audio clip you provide. Credits, bios, references, etc. are NOT part of our criteria. Jurors are asked to score each entry based on one question alone: "how good is the comedy in this submission's clip?"
WHEN DOES JURYING BEGIN?
It already has! As submissions are verified, they are passed on to the relevant juries. Jurors watch the clips on their own, and record their scores online. That's one reason we're encouraging you to pretty please get your submissions in sooner rather than later.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We know that COVID has hit comedians and other artists hard. So we have made every effort to keep our entry fees as low as possible. That is why the cost to submit to the 2021 World Wide Comedy Awards is only $2.

IF IT'S JUST $2, WHY NOT JUST MAKE THE WWCAs FREE?
We wanted to, and initially planned to. Unfortunately, we realized we are dealing with comedians - and if entries were free it's a safe bet we'd be flooded with thousands of joke entries for made-up clowns named "Doo Doo". (Not to be confused with the real Doo Doo the Clown, who is not only a Canadian entertainer but a genuine hero.)

$2 entries will help us keep the submissions process manageable: every submission costs us a small fee, has to be vetted, and has to be judged by juries.
